In response to concerns about the cumulative impacts of development on the outstanding cultural and environmental values of the Fitzroy River, scientists have prepared a statement outlining these values and recommending a way forward for protection of the river that can underpin plans for sustainable development in the catchment.
The statement has been co-authored by nine leading science experts on the Fitzroy River. Coordinating authors include Professor Craig Moritz, Professor Kingsley Dixon, Professor Jeff Connor, Professor Peter Veth, Distinguished Professor Sue O'Connor, Associate Professor David Morgan, Associate Professor Andrew Storey, Dr Ryan Vogwill, & Dr Anja Skroblin.
Over 90 additional scientists have signed on in support of the Statement.
